One Practical Way to Change Your Life Forever

Practical Way Change Your Life Personal Plan Michael Nichols

We spend time planning all kinds of things – to make the paycheck stretch as far as possible, for summer vacation, for the holiday office party, for the kid’s birthday parties – the list goes on.

But, let’s face it – most of us “waste” very little time planning for LIFE. In fact, when we read a sentence like the previous one, our temptation is to quit reading – to close the blog post. (I’m glad you didn’t!)

The truth is that developing a life or business plan doesn’t mean that everything will turn out exactly the way you map it out. It simply means that you have invested time and effort into discovering what matters most in life or in your work. What do you value most?

The Shocking Truth About My Dad!

The Shocking Truth About My Dad! | Michael Nichols - Leadership Made Simple

My dad used to tell me – Son, I am sick and tired of having to tell you something over and over again. (I have no idea why he talked to me this way, because I was the model child.) He was never just sick of it or just tired of it. He was always sick AND tired!

Bill Cosby tells a story about the worst beating he ever got in his life – his mother said, “Well I am just sick!” and he immediately added, “and tired.”

My dad also used to tell me and my six siblings that he was “fed up with the nonsense”! We weren’t exactly sure what “fed up” meant, but we knew he wanted us to quit whatever we were doing.

It occurred to me recently that we should get fed up with some things – like…
