Simplify Your Life, Work, and Leadership Today.
If you’re like most of my clients, you’re a successful, high-achiever. You are committed to doing fulfilling and energizing work, living a life of purpose, and building a legacy. You are intentional about personal and professional growth to reach your full potential. You want to make a lasting impact on your world.
But as you’re faced with bigger and bigger challenges, you get stuck at times. Maybe you’re even overwhelmed. Maybe you feel like the leader who sent me this:
“There’s never enough time. No matter what I’m doing, I struggle with focus, productivity, and effectiveness. I feel like I’ll never catch up. When I’m traveling for work, I am missing my daughter’s soccer game. When I make the game, I can hardly resist the impulse to pull my phone out of my pocket and check my email. I constantly wonder if I’m missing something important at work.”
Sound Like You?
Do you feel like life is incredibly complex?
Do you feel like you’re supporting everyone else – their dreams, their goals, their projects – and wonder when your life is going to start – when it will be your turn?
Do you feel like you never have any margin or think space?
You’re not alone.
I Know How You Feel
I’ve been there. And thousands of people we’ve worked with have been there. I know what it feels like to regularly face overwhelm – for success to outpace my ability to manage it. To feel like everything important is slipping away – family, health, faith, and team.
For years, I struggled to make meaningful progress. My success often came at the expense of my health and my most valuable relationships.
I couldn’t figure out why I kept experiencing significant setbacks. And why my team members – good, hard-working people – struggled to make progress.
Here’s my story – until recently I had never shared some of these details publicly…
I Finally Figured it Out
Then, one afternoon as I sat in a restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia I began scribbling on a napkin – noting the common themes in every major setback I had experienced – and the disasters I had navigated with so many others.
Within a few moments – I created a tool that brought so much clarity to why people struggle in life, in their work, and in leadership…
Every significant failure – every life tragedy – follows this same process…
I’ve been there – trying to work my way out of the downward spiral. Trying to figure it out in the margins of life.
I stayed up late – and got up early – read all the books, listened to the podcasts, bought the courses, attended conferences, worked with a coach.
And nothing worked.
In fact, all those things only brought more complexity and confusion. I secretly wondered if there was something wrong with me. If I just wasn’t cut out for leadership. If there was some problem deep inside that I’d never be able to conquer. If I should just quit trying and resign myself to going to the office for a paycheck.
The Real Solution
What I needed was a simple, proven process and tools that would help me experience dramatic improvements at home and at work.
I faced the reality that there’s always more to do than there is time. But I also realized the answer isn’t simply to work harder – or to get more done – or to work longer hours.
After working with hundreds of leaders all over the world in all types of organizations we discovered that the answer is to do what matters most.
That means making your health, your marriage, your family, your friends, your place of worship, and your contribution to your community top priorities.
So we created The SIMPLE Leadership Spiral – a proven path for personal and professional growth for leaders.
Everything we teach, everywhere we speak, all of our work is based on this simple process…
